I study how ecological communities change across space and time

Currently, I am using species interaction and occurrence data to build species interaction networks in Costa Rica to understand how communities are responding to climate change.

About me

Hi, I'm Jenna! Right now, I'm a PhD student in the Spatial and Community Ecology (SpaCE) Lab and a member of the Department of Integrative Biology and the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior Program at Michigan State University.

How species interact with each other and the environment around them has always been an interest of mine. My first experiences in community ecology were based in tropical systems, which not only taught me how important species interactions are to the stability and function in these regions but also started a growing passion for me to help fill large gaps in our knowledge of tropical biodiversity.
